Sterling Smith – Calgary Mural Artist & Commission Painter
My work features interlocking shapes, bold patterns, and vibrant colors that create a 3-D illusion on walls, canvas, and various surfaces.
I create custom art for businesses, restaurants, public spaces, and private collectors. My primary materials include spray, acrylic and latex paints on canvas, wood panel, concrete, brick, and/or metal. My work can be found in restaurants, offices, and public spaces across Calgary.
In addition to my mural work, I have collaborated with Red Bull in 2024 and 2025 to design awards for their SlopeSoakers event in Panorama, BC, and worked with Good Day Optics to create a limited-edition ski goggle strap design.
I understand how art can enhance spaces and environments. My experience with site-specific artwork allows me to create custom pieces that align with each client’s vision.
Outside of my work as an artist, I have experience in sports admin, event logistics, and recreation management with numerous organizations and one-off events in Western Canada.
I am available for murals, public art projects, and private installations in Calgary and beyond.
